Phonics Programme for Children

These Terms and Conditions govern enrollment in the phonics programme provided by Lingobirds Academy ("we," "our," or "the Academy"). By registering a child in the programme, parents or guardians agree to the following terms.

1. Programme Overview

1.1 The phonics programme is designed for children and delivered in structured sessions (online or in person, as specified at registration).

1.2 The programme follows a systematic phonics approach with progressive levels.

1.3 Enrollment confirms commitment to attend scheduled sessions regularly.

2. Enrollment and Payment

2.1 Full payment is required in advance unless otherwise stated.

2.2 Payments made through online platforms (e.g., PayPal, Payhip, or similar services) are subject to third-party processing fees.

2.3 Enrollment is confirmed only after payment is successfully received.

3. Attendance Policy

3.1 Parents are responsible for ensuring the child attends sessions on time.

3.2 Missed sessions are not refundable.

3.3 Where possible, and subject to availability, make-up sessions may be offered at the Academy’s discretion.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 Withdrawal After 1 or 2 Sessions

If a student attends only one (1) or two (2) sessions and then withdraws:

• The cost of the sessions attended will be deducted.
• An additional deduction will be made for:
  • 5% PayPal processing fees (if applicable)
  • 5% Payhip commission (if applicable)
• The remaining balance, after deductions, will be refunded.

4.2 Withdrawal From Session 3 Onwards

• Starting from Session 3, no monetary refunds will be issued.
• However, the Academy understands that circumstances may arise.
• In such cases, the student may complete their remaining sessions at another available time, subject to scheduling availability and within a reasonable time frame determined by the Academy.

5. Behaviour and Conduct Policy

5.1 All students are expected to behave respectfully toward teachers and classmates.

5.2 Disruptive behaviour, repeated misconduct, or disrespect toward staff or other students will not be tolerated.

5.3 Consequences of Misconduct

• If a student demonstrates abusive, harmful, or consistently disrespectful behaviour:
  • The Academy reserves the right to terminate enrollment.
  • If termination occurs after Session 3, no refund will be issued.
  • The student will not be permitted to complete the remaining sessions.
• The Academy’s decision in such matters is final.

6. Programme Modifications

6.1 The Academy reserves the right to modify session schedules, teachers, or minor programme elements where necessary.

6.2 Any significant changes will be communicated in advance.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 The Academy is not responsible for technical issues on the parent’s or student’s side during online sessions (e.g., internet connectivity, device issues).

7.2 The Academy is not liable for indirect losses arising from non-attendance or withdrawal.

8. Agreement

By enrolling in the phonics programme, parents/guardians confirm that:

• They have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
• They agree to the Refund Policy.
• They accept the Behaviour and Conduct Policy.
