Levels 8A & 8B
New Graphemes for Reading – Set 1
Levels 8A and 8B introduce children to new graphemes used for reading. At this stage, children learn alternative spellings and less common letter combinations that represent familiar sounds. This deepens their understanding of how English spelling works and strengthens their ability to read a wider variety of words accurately and confidently.
Learning continues to be supported by interactive phonics games on iOS and Android, ensuring systematic practice and consolidation.
Completion of Levels 1A–7B, or equivalent reading and phonics knowledge, is recommended.
