Course curriculum

Levels 14 & 15

Alternative Spelling – Set 3

Levels 14 and 15 further extend children’s understanding of alternative spellings for common vowel sounds. At this stage, children learn to recognise and apply multiple spelling choices for the same sound, strengthening both reading accuracy and spelling confidence. These levels support fluent reading across a wide range of texts.

Learning continues to be supported by interactive phonics games on iOS and Android, ensuring systematic practice and consolidation.

Completion of Levels 1A–13, or equivalent phonics and reading knowledge, is recommended.

• Repeating activities that build automatic recognition

The guided, game-based approach ensures mastery while keeping children engaged.

These levels are ideal for children progressing toward advanced, independent reading.

Why These Levels Are Important
